What is Surpriise?

Surpriise makes gift cards and money transfers fun with games, pics, virtual wrapping and more! Plus, we'll notify you, so you can chat with your friends when they unwrap your Surpriise!

How does Surpriise work?

Choose a gift card from 200+ popular retailers, a Vanilla® eGift Visa® Virtual Account, or a PayPal money transfer. You're gift is delivered by email, SMS or your favorite chat app. Your friend uses the Surpriise app to receive your gift. You'll be notified right away so you can share in on the excitement.

I received a Vanilla® eGift Visa®, how do I use it?

Shop online or over the phone using your account number, expiration date, and security code during checkout. Remember, while you can print an image of your Virtual Account "card", you may not use Vanilla eGift Virtual Account at in-store merchants. The account may only be used for online, phone, and mail-order purchases.

Vanilla® eGift Visa® is only valid in the United States. If you're outside the United States, you can still use it on websites that ship to your location. Some websites, like Amazon.ca accept payment in USD.

I received a Vanilla® eGift Visa®, why do I need to assign a ZIP code?

Some online retailers use ZIP Codes as a checkout security feature. Assigning a ZIP Code to your Vanilla eGift® Account is simple. Sign in to your account and select the "Assign Zip Code" tab. This page allows you to set or clear the ZIP Code associated with your Virtual Account.

I have a small balance left on my Vanilla® eGift Visa®, how can I use it?

Just a suggestion... you can purchase a gift card on Amazon for as little as $1 and use that for your next purchase.

What is my sending limit?

We limit the number of gifts you can send until you're account has been verified. To verify your account contact support@surpriise.me

What if I receive a PayPal money transfer, but I don't have a PayPal account?

No problem! You can still unlock your friends Surpriise. You'll receive an email notification from PayPal that the money is being held for a limited time, while you create an account. If you don't create an account the funds are returned to your friend.

How many people can I send a Surpriise to?

When you're creating a Surpriise, you have can send it to one friend, or make it a race by sending it to multiple friends! But remember, only the friend can claim your Surpriise.

Do I need to link a PayPal account?

If you're sending a PayPal money transfer, Surpriise uses PayPal to securely transfer funds between friends. Pre-approved payments are a specific PayPal feature that allows us to send funds only when the Surprisse is claimed. Using PayPal means no point-of-sale headaches and enhanced security.

Why is my Surpriise account locked?

Surpriise accounts become locked when there is an issue with your PayPal account that has prevented us from transferring funds to your friend for a claimed Surpriise for more than 72 hours. This is done to ensure that users that claim a Surpriise have the most positive experience possible.

Once you resolve the issue with your PayPal account, we'll unlock your PayPal account and you'll be ready to rock. If you believe your Surpriise account has been locked in error, or you aren't sure how to resolve the issue with your PayPal account, don't hesitate to reach out to our Support Team

Do Surpriises expire?

No, Surpriises you've created will not expire.

Can I delete a Surpriise?

It depends. If you've sent a gift card and it hasn't been claimed yet, you can email the Support Team support@surpriise.me

If you sent a PayPal money transfer and it hasn't been claimed yet, you can remove it. Go to your profile, and tap the sent tab. In the gift details screen tap the more options button, indicated by three dots, in the bottom right hand corner. Choose to option to remove your gift.

I just unlocked a Surpriise for a PayPal money transfer but I haven't received the funds for it yet. What is going on?

There are two main reasons why you might not receive your funds immediately after unlocking a Surpriise for a PayPal money transfer.

  1. Your friend is having an issue with their PayPal account that needs to be resolved before the funds can be transfered. We'll automatically notify you and your friend via email if this is the case.
  2. There's an issue with your PayPal account or haven't linked your PayPal account to receive the funds. The latter can happen when your Facebook account email address is different from your PayPal account email address. Simply follow the instructions in the transaction email sent to you by PayPal to get your account set up and ready to rock. If it's the former, we'll send you an email notifying you of the issue.
